What it does not replace

  • Deribit’s own authoritative order, position and account records.
  • The Professional Data API for SABR/WV4 backtest datasets and ticker downloads.
  • A risk engine, pre-trade approval process, monitoring service or kill switch owned by your organization.
  • Exchange-specific documentation outside the current Deribit knowledge-base scope.

Recommended integration flow

  • Authenticate from a trusted server and obtain an Authorization token.
  • List accounts and select an available Deribit account_id; do not hard-code an ID copied from another user or environment.
  • Read the current environment and strategy configuration before changing anything.
  • Validate parameters locally, submit the complete configuration and read it back.
  • Start the strategy or Smart Trading task once, record the request and returned identifiers, and prevent duplicate submissions.
  • Monitor logs and open work; reconcile final records against Deribit.
  • Stop services before switching environments or changing operational ownership.
